The Maternal & Child Centre of the hospital houses the Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatric Departments
Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department
The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department offers services ranging from Antenatal, Gynecological, Post-Natal Clinics and Family planning and Cervical cancer screening services.
Clinic days are available Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Elective and emergency surgeries are carried out daily. The department have a standard labour ward, a newly created birthing suite, a high dependency unit (HDU) and two well-equipped theater suites.
All the clinics and the emergency ward are located on the ground floor of the building while the labour ward and the theaters are on the first floor.
The Pre and Post Natal wards are located on the second floor of the MCC building. A newly refurbished Post Natal Extension ward is located on the ground floor of Block B.
The department offers 24 hours emergency services
The Paediatrics Department
The Paediatrics Department comprises of Consultant Paediatricians, Medical Officers, and Nurses. Emergency services run 24-hours every day while the general out-patient clinic run Monday through Friday from 8am – 4pm.
The emergency ward and clinics are located on the ground floor of the MCC building while the wards: Neonatal and older children wards are located on the 3rd floor of the MCC building.
Agbala Peadiatric Center is an annexe of the hospital also attending to Paediatric and other cases.

Monday -Neurology Clinic- 9:00am – 12:00pm
Tuesday- Neonatology clinic- 9:00am – 12:00pm
Thursday/Friday- Sickle cell clinic- 9:00am – 12:00pm
